hmm.fyi/privacy
Privacy.
hmm.fyi is a small, independent place to keep the links worth keeping. We collect the bare minimum needed to run the service, and we don't sell, share, or trade your data.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, a username, an optional display name, and a hashed password (we never see the original). The posts you publish — title, link, note, and tags — are public by design and live at hmm.fyi/yourusername.
Cookies
We set one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It clears when you sign out. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies.
What we don't do
No analytics. No advertising. No third-party trackers, pixels, or fingerprinting. We do not build profiles on you, and we do not share or sell your information to anyone for any commercial purpose. We're just not into that evil stuff and never will be.
Service providers
We use a hosting provider to run the servers and an email provider to send transactional messages like sign-up confirmations and password resets. They process the minimum data needed to deliver the service and nothing else.
Your data
Your posts and account data belong to you. You can edit or delete posts at any time from your account. To delete your account and the data attached to it, email us and we'll take care of it. Some operational backups may persist for a short time before they age out.
